fans have enjoyed. Each year this family's musical opportunities grow
and their traveling schedule gets busier. While most of their
engagements and focus is in churches, they also take part in community
festivals, bluegrass festivals, theaters, restaurants, nursing homes,

Award for 2008 and will be back in England in June.
Gospel Classics Congratulates Martha for winning the Southern Gospel Female Country Artist 2006-07-08 in England at the N.C.M. Awards
"Holy Ghost Fire" is sweeping the charts and Martha is traveling to Italy in March as her song is up for an award after being at the top of the charts for 9 months!
"When God calls," Martha Daughtrey
explains, "You better listen!"
Martha began singing at a very young age with her
grandparents "The Happy Hartley's," but stopped singing many years ago
after her grandmother was killed in an automobile accident. Born Martha Hartley,
she is the daughter of William Bryant Hartley and Allie Burns Hartley. Martha
graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, married Maybon Daughtrey, and has
been living with her husband and mother in Coffeeville for over 17 years.
Martha always enjoyed writing poetry. She says she was a bit bashful, but
believe me, she's gotten over being bashful. The Lord has given this lady a
beautiful singing voice, an inspirational spirit, and she is "on fire for
the Lord!"
Martha Daughtrey the singer, songwriter from the small Town of Coffeeville, AL, currently records under the supervision of Don Reed and Affinity Music, and has traveled the globe in the 3 years with her music.
Martha started writing at a young age and never thought her poems would progress to the music charts. After an audition for Jimmy Fowler,in Jackson AL, she found herself on stage in Branson, Mo. and it did not stop there. In a matter of weeks she was on stage in Nashville. The Irish lady with the deep voice and the love of God stepped out to give God the praise.
She was asked to do a PAX TV program with Jimmy C. Newman of the Grand Old Opry, where she sang 'Voices Across America'. Martha wrote 'I'm an Alabama Girl' which she peformed for PAX. Voices Across America is a Tribute to the U.S.A. That is when it all took off.
When asked how this all began she said it all started in Coffeeville United Methodist Church. Sandy Dunagan a talented pianist put her first song "Open up those pearlie gates" to music. The radio stations loved the song and played it after she went into the studio with Franklin Boney in Butler,Alabama. When asked about Franklin Boney she said: Love that man I sure do. I'll always be grateful to him. A God gifted man and person, the world should be full of people like him.
From the stage at StarDust Theater to around the globe. I'm traveling the world for my Lord. New Christian Music of the United Kingdom N.C.M. will present the Awards in Leighton Buzzard Bedsfordshire England on March 3,2007. Martha will walk the stage before the crowd to accept her Award from George Hamilton IV of the Grand Old Opry whom will be M/C and Award Host. She has the Southern Gospel Female Artist 2006 thru the N.C.M. Her new CD Glory Train John 3:16 is now climbing the gospel charts around the world.
Her quote is I could not have done this with out God, Don Reed AFFINITY Music
and Olympic Advantage, NCM and my DJ's, friends and Christian listeners. With a
wonderful bunch of Nashville Musicians like those at Jay's Place Nashville you
get music. Thank you all for the support and being my family in Christ.
Twenty percent of the earnings from the sale of two CDs, "No
boundary" and "Gospel Country" is donated to the United Cerebral
Palsy Foundation to help pay the expense for children with cerebral palsy and
head injuries to attend Camp Adventure, a summer camp in Citronelle, Alabama.
This past year she was able to help send one hundred and thirty children to
camp. Martha has just finished her third CD, "Oh Lord, I'm Going
Home." Her songs can be heard on the Mutt and Mose Gospel Show.
For thirty years this lady did not sing. One night in 2002 she had a dream.
Martha calls it, "Her message from the Lord." He told her to "Use
your talent or lose it!" She listened to the Lord, got up, and got busy!
She now enjoys singing and writing songs.
Martha attends the Talahatta CME Church in the Campbell community. Her pastor is
Rev. Willie Woodard. She is also involved through the church in the CCC -
Campbell Community Choir. "We go sing where God opens a door for us,"
Mrs. Daughtrey said.
Martha and her husband have 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.

Lord: I Was Born In The USA
American's we must stand up for what we believe in. I am American and proud of it. This song is for all races , creeds and colors. It is not a democratic or republican issue, it 's an American justice for all song. On Sept.1 this song will go out on the NCM of the UK. with full media coverage. Paul Davis at NCM said lets turn loose the song for all to hear.
We were founded on religion and in God I shall forever trust. I wish we could go back to the good old days. Look at my view. I ask you Americans to look even at your local post office. How often do you see our flag fly in front? In God we trust is on the hit list to be removed from our site. You can't pray at schools are public functions. Are we still Americans? BIOGRAPHY
Jose Daniel is a name familiar to many in our sister-nation to the south.
He was born in Mexico City, Mexico and his love for music was the driving
force in his life. His extraordinary gifts for singing and song-writing were
recognized early-on by the professional music industry, and he entertained
in various tourist resorts and hotels around the country.
Jose Daniel spent more than ten years as a tourist "favorite," singing
and working the hotel circuit in the well-known resort of Cancun, until he
moved to the United States 10 years ago. He lives today in Saltillo, MS, a
small town in the northeastern part of the state, not far from the "hub" of
the Country and Gospel music, Nashville, TN. His primary focus is still
"music," and he has continued to write and sing in both English and Spanish.
His unique vocal quality and style quickly set him apart in the US, and his
single releases have become a "standard" on both country and Gospel charts
world-wide. One of his first releases in this country, " Alex and Me" spent
many months on the charts and was a tribute to the Smith children who were
drowned by their mother in South Carolina a few years ago.
He recorded and released a CD for Spanish speaking Americans called
"Un Tibuto A Jesus (A Tribute to Jesus)" which included traditional Gospel
songs translated into Spanish. This CD is receiving airplay in various parts
of Europe as well as here in the US, and has proven to be an instrument used
by God to carry the Gospel to Spanish-speaking countries worldwide.
Other full-project CDs, "From The Heart" - "Better Run For The Border" and
"There Ain't Nothing Like Love" are being played world-wide, and singles
from those projects have appeared regularly on both the Hot Country Singles
chart and the Worldwide Major and Indie Chart.
His latest project, "At His Best" is a mixture of Country and Gospel songs
(with original songs by such noted songwriters as Rhonnie Scheuerman, Dean
Koon and James Simmons as well as Jose himself) features Spanish choral inserts.
"Take Two Aspirn" and "The Book My Mama Read" are doing extremely well throughout
the radio world. Jose received SILVER ELITE GOSPEL VOCALIST OF THE YEAR, 2003,
GOLDEN ELITE MALE VOCALIST, 2004 from the Tennessee Country Music Alliance and
various other awards including, Key To The City, Special Recognition, etc. Jose
appears regularly on Local Television, radio and is always ready to perform for
School Groups, Civic Groups, Senior Citizen CenterS and Festivals. Jose recently
appeared on Nashville Video Showcase with Jimmy & Lorraine Smart in Nashville and
Country Corner in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia with Jack and Sandra Blaylock. Jose will
be appearing at THE REDD STEWART FESTIVAL in September in Olive Branch, MS and
various other festivals in Mo, ILL and Tennessee throughout the remainder of 2004.
Watch out for Jose's 7th CD as it will be released in the near future. His latest
project is the recording of SING OUT AMERICA FOR OUR VETERANS by award winning
Song Writer Rhonnie Sheuerman, This song can be heard on http://www.usvwm.us/
and http://www.bigoradio.com/.... Please stop by and give a listen!!!
LATEST NEWS: JoseDaniel will be filming a Video, SING OUT AMERICA in Cincinnati,

Gospel Classics Warmly Welcomes the "Jim Cook and Family Singers" to our site!

Jim Cook & Family Singers
80 North Howard Fitch
Kelso, Tn. 37348
(931) 937-9207
The Jim Cook Family Singers were
established in 2004 and recorded their first album, Hand On My
Shoulder, in June of that year in Nashville, Tennessee. The Group at
that time consisted of three family members, Jim, Diane and Dianna. The
group was later joined by one of Dianna's sons
Derrek. James I. Cook was born in Hazzard, Kentucky the son of a Church
of God minister. The oldest of five children James was no stranger to
gospel music. James and his two brothers form a gospel group by the
name of the Cook Brothers. The group toured to places such as Branson
Missouri but later disband due to bad health of one of the brothers. In
2002 music brought James and Diane together and they were married in
July 2003.
Diane was borne in Fayetteville, Tennessee, a small town just south of
Nashville. Diane was the daughter of a sharecropper and the fifth of
eight children. In 1977 one of her childhood dreams came true when she
graduated from the Lincoln County Practical Nursing Program. She has
always enjoyed all types of music but southern and bluegrass gospel are
her favorite. One of her fondest memories as a child was sitting on the
front porch listening to her grandmother sing On Jordan's Stormy Banks.
Her love for music spilled over into the lives of her children Bobby
and Dianna who often listened to classical music and made up stories to
go along with the music.
Dianna the third member of the group grew up with music, singing in
church choirs and latter singing and teaching her own children about
music. Dianna was borne in the same town as her mother and was the
younger of two children. She often sang to her pets as a small child
and later sang in the church choir. Marrying a minister's son in 1992,
she continues to sing in the choir at the church where her husband's
uncle is the minister. In September 1996 Dianna and her husband Billy
Ray Moore were blessed with beautiful twin boys Derrek and Dustin.
Derrek the youngest member of the group joined in November 2004. As his
grandparents and mother were going over the music for the next singing
engagement Derrek decided he would join in. The youthful sound and
enthusiasm his voice added to the group was refreshing thus he became a
part of The Jim Cook Family Singers. Not only does he enjoy singing
gospel music he goes to the local nursing home and reads his bible and
prays with the patients. Although he enjoys singing and spreading the
gospel he also does the things every nine year old does play
basketball, baseball and has a natural gift of the gab. He will talk to
a signpost as long as it doesn't move and has been know to follow an
uninterested listener.
The Jim Cook Family Singers have ventured to many places with their
ministry. One of the most enjoyable was singing for the women at
Tutwieler Women's Prison in Alabama. They were invited to sing a the
Giles County Gospel Singing Convention in 2005 and brought home two
awards, one for the best group. Derrek the youngest of the group also
brought home an award for the youngest singer at the convention. In
September 2004 Jim Cook Family Singers first album appeared in the U.S.
Gospel News. For booking the Cooks can be contacted by phone at (931)
