Born in "L.A." (in this case, "Lower Ashton"), a small community on the outskirts of Walterboro, South Carolina, Rene' was raised singing in the church. Since his family was involved in farming, he spent many hours singing, while riding the tractors and working the land. In his late teens, Rene' joined the gospel group The Beacons. It was this gospel background which gave Rene' his vibrant and smooth voice of today. He sings with such passion, putting his heart, body and soul into his music, making his audience "feel" his songs.

After leaving The Beacons, Rene' decided to try his hand at country music. He performed in a menagerie of acts, such as variety shows, private parties, night clubs, fund raisers, beauty pageants, annual festivals, parades, etc. He was a featured entertainer at the 1987 March of Dimes Telerama, broadcast from Charleston, South Carolina.

In October, 1990, Rene' released his debut country album, "Trying Times" which he dedicated in memory of his father. "Trying Times" contains two duets that were written by and personally given to him by Paul Overstreet. Rene' had the pleasure in March, 1992 of performing in concert with Linda Davis. After two sold-out performances, this sparked a decision to further pursue a career in country music. With stars in their eyes, he and his wife moved to Nashville the next month and embarked on a series of tours across Eastern United States. During this time, Rene' released another country album, "Never Going Back". November, 1997 brought forth yet another country album, "Just for the Record" which boasts of some of Nashville's best songwriters and studio musicians. It was this album that brought Rene' within inches of a record deal. However, at the last minute, the "big guys" decided Rene' was too country and signed their second choice artist for the deal. Imagine being too country for country music!

In 2003, Rene' felt God was calling him back to his roots of gospel music. A new genre of gospel music had evolved called Christian Country (or Country Gospel), and Rene' felt led to pursue this route. It is totally amazing how well things work when God is involved! In March, 2005, Rene' released his first Christian Country single on radio, "I'm On A Holy Roll" with GodsChild Records. His first Christian Country CD, "Down On My Knees" is now available for purchase through Rene', his wife, Edie, or through the website. The songs that have been released are already charting on the Christian Country charts, the Country Gospel charts, and the International Country Gospel charts. Work has begun on a second CD which will hopefully be available by Summer, 2007.

Kris Miller has made it her goal in life to serve Our Father in Heaven and put her astounding creative talent to use singing praises to Him. Her remarkable debut solo album, Alive and Well, takes her one big step closer toward reaching that goal. In addition to the release of Alive and Well, Kris is the conductor of an a cappella choir known as Pure Righteousness, a group that has performed and recorded its songs across the nation, and has released an album entitled A Day of Pure Righteousness. Kris has written hundreds of songs throughout her life, one of which (the new single, "Blessed Be," from Alive and Well) is currently being released by HMG Nashville to 3,000 radio stations across the globe. In addition, Kris is already hard at work on recording new material for her next album.

But despite all of her newfound momentum, Kris makes sure to pause and give credit where it is due. "All the credits and glory go to God. I feel like I am the caretaker of this music, but He gets the credit. It all comes from the Spirit. I am just the voice box."

Rev. Charles Sivley, a minister of God's Word for over 37 years, was the founder and owner of WVCT and Televison station WVTN in Corbin, Ky.. Charles' unique style of singing and songwriting produced many chart toppers in the U.S. and in other countries. He had numerous nominations for male vocalist, songwriter, and TV Show Personality.

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he and his wife Rev. Brenda were a team of soul winning songwriters of faith, encouragement, and deliverance. Radio and TV programs are aired twice daily in S.E. Kentucky along with many appearances on other networks and programs.

Gospel Classics Extends a Big Welcome to Artist Margie Cumbie!

Margie Cumbie
Margie Cumbie of Huntsville, Alabama would rather sing than just about anything.
She has recorded two CD's* in the last year in Razzy Bailey's (www.razzybailey.com) Studio in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville Tennessee.
Her style can be described as a cross between Patsy Cline and Rosemary Clooney with a touch of Doris Day... and then she puts her own personality in her songs and the rest is Margie all the way.
Margie always wanted to sing and record. She performs regularly throughout North Alabama and Southern Tennessee singing at festivals, fairs, outdoor concerts.
Her first big concert was a few years back at Huntsville's Von Braun Civic Center Concert Hall before a crowd of 1,500 people. Margie performed her specialty - singing in the style of Miss Patsy Cline. The crowd loved her ten song performance, and rewarded her with two standing ovations.
Margie has performed in many different venues. She was asked to perform at the State of Alabama's Governors Mansion this past year by Governor and Mrs. Bob Riley. She also performed at the 2003 Armed Forces Celebration Dinner before a crowd of 2,000 people at the Von Braun Civic Center singing with a big band performing great old standards.
She performs regular dates at local establishments in the Huntsville area with her keyboard accompanist - but also works with her band, all seasoned veterans from Nashville.
Margie's favorite place to perform is Nursing Homes and Retirement Homes. The elderly really love her songs - and she really loves performing for them. A few years back she performed over 45 volunteer shows in one year.
Margie has performed at the Opryland Hotel Ballroom before a room full of soldiers at a conference. She has also performed at the Heart Association's Dances/Balls and numerous outdoor Concerts in the Parks/and around the Lakes, etc..
One of her favorite venues by far has been to perform at the Whistle Stop Festival in Huntsville Alabama. She was able to open for some well know country stars - and get a taste of what it's like to perform from a big outdoor stage. Meeting Craig Morgan and Blake Shelton backstage made the performance even more memorable.

Gospel Classics Extends A Great Big Welcome to Nashville Artist Peggy Cooper Inks! (Singer of Jesus Songs)

Just in time for Summer 2008 Peggy Inks with her new single "MANSION OVER THE HILLTOP" ...On God's Child Records

Peggy was born into a Christian family in Sandy Flat (Whitley County) Kentucky. Peggy and her two sisters grew up singing Gospel and Country songs and were known as "The Cooper Sisters".
Peggy lives in London, KY and began her career as a solo Gospel singer in the 1970's when a Nashville producer invited her to record two songs she co-authored with Junior Meadors from Williamsburg, KY. The two songs were "Just Over The Next Hill" and "Bless Our Nation" "Just Over The Next Hill" was released to the Radio Stations in 2004 and hit the Southern Gospel top 100 in February 2004 and climbed into the top 50 by April 2004. Peggy's song "Jesus Loves The Country Singers" was number 11 on the USA National Gospel Chart and number 13 on the International Gospel Chart in January of 2005. In February/March 2006 Peggy's song "What Kind of Games Do Children Play In Heaven" was at 41 on the Christian Country Top 100 chart.

Peggy started exhibiting at Fan Fair in 1976. The past several years Peggy has been appearing at the Reunionares booth and the Music City Christian Fellowship booth to visit with the fans and sign autographs. Peggy will be at both booths again this year.

Peggy has received awards from the New York State Music Association for Gospel Singer of the year, the Alabama Gospel Music Association for Song Writer of the year, Song of the year "Just Over The Next Hill" and Entertainer of the Year and was the American Christian Music Association 2005 Co-Gospel Singer of the year. In 2005 Peggy also took 1st place at the 58th Annual Daniel Boone Festival Gospel Talent search in Barbourville, KY.

Peggy has appeared numerous times at Ernest Tubbs Midnight Jamboree, the Christian Country Music Association Annual Convention, Renfro Valley Gospel Jubilee and as a Chorale singer with The Sunday Morning Country Program at The Ryman.

Peggy recently sang for a Womens Conference in Copan, OK with Melanie Walker, Loretta Withee and Shane Tecza May 10-14,2006. While in Oklahoma she also sang at the Riverside RV Park in Bartlesville, OK and Sunday morning at the Amazing Grace Tabernacle Church in Copan, OK.

Phyllis lives with her husband Paul in Decatur, IL. She has been singing since her teenage years, singing in the church choir and singing solo's before launching out her gospel music ministry. She has ministered in churches in Decatur and local community churches. She has ministered in nursing homes, senior adult functions and The Salvation Army. As well as central Illinois, she has ministered in Mississippi, Kansas, Alabama and Florida. Also cowboy churches in Deland, IL. Farmer City, IL. and Bloomington, IL. She has had the privilege of singing along with Young Harmony, The Galloways, The Dove Brothers, Arlie Neaville, Walt Mills, The Crabb Family, The Northmen Quartet, Joanne Clark, Souls Harbor, Bill Crozier, and Ted Long. She has written numerous songs. Her current one is Heavenly Days. Phyllis believes her ministry is to send out the Gospel of Jesus Christ through gospel music and win the lost to him.
