Rebecca Linda Smith was one of the Top 5 Nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year for Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Awards held Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the Acuff Theater in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Robert Frank Smith made the Top 10 list of candidates for Songwriter of the Year 2007.
Rebecca Linda (Garcia) Smith was born into a military family and spent most
of her young life
between the United States and Germany. She started singing at four years of age and sang
in school functions and in churches throughout Europe during her teenage years. As Rebecca Linda
grew in her faith, her singing also grew and became a form of ministry. Music has always played
a major role in her life.
Rebecca Linda's life took many twists and turns that always seemed to point to God's purpose for
her future. She became a public school teacher for a few years prior to getting a direct commission
in the U.S. Army. She served on active duty as an Army officer for three years and then two years
in the Reserves after she returned to teaching. She obtained a master's degree in counseling and
ministered to students and families during her teaching career. She continued to sing in churches,
at weddings, memorial services, and at various social and community events during this phase of her
life. Yet, she always had a burning desire to sing for the Lord on a full-time basis, hence her
ministry as Rebecca Linda Smith-Renewed.
Rebecca Linda's first CD, "All For You", confirmed that this was the direction God intended for
her life. The title song was written by her former recording manager,
George Arriola, founder of Joy Records in El Paso, Texas and it
summed up what she felt her life was all about in serving the Lord. The
other
songs are those that have touched her life and renewed her desire to
sing for Him as a ministry.
Rebecca Linda's second CD, Jesus' Grace, has been released via HMG Nashville under her own record label, RENEWED
RECORDS. Distribution is nationwide and worldwide.
It has a common theme in most of the songs—that we are all sinners
saved by Jesus' grace—and a powerful and anointed message of eternal
hope in each song. We

"Jesus Grace" contains 14 songs (12 original ), most written or
co-written by Rebecca Linda and her husband, Robert Frank, that have
the wonderful country music live
band sound. The album also includes the inspirational country
music video
song, "Do You Know Me" and a gospel song, "Prisoner of
Love," duet with Ms. Dottie Rambo, a living legend and Queen of
Gospel Music.
"God has blessed me with my driving force from my devoted songwriter husband and soul mate, Dr. Robert Frank Smith. It amazes me how God took my music ministry and completed the circle after my first CD by suddenly giving Robert Frank the gift of writing lyrics to songs that are now touching so many hearts and lives. His beautiful gospel and inspirational song lyrics put to music are a major part of the "Jesus' Grace" CD. God had always planned for the two of us when He felt the time was right."
Rebecca Linda prays that these CDs will touch lives and serve to restore those who need a renewal in their spiritual walk and commitment to the Lord or just provide a warm touch from Jesus Christ. Rebecca Linda not only sings Southern Gospel Music, she has crossed the boundaries into Christian Contemporary and is Crossing over into the Mainstream Inspirational Country. Rebecca Linda lives with her husband in El Paso near their son, and his wife, Ivy, both of whom serve the Lord in their own Christian ministries. Rebecca Linda and Robert Frank have been traveling to churches in Florida, New Mexico, and Texas since the release of her first CD, "All For You." They are looking forward to continuing travels throughout the country and abroad as they share God's message through personal testimony, music and song.

Gospel Classics Extends a Warm Welcome to "The Helm's"

The
Helms are a Southern Gospel and Christian Country group started by Lyle
& Helen Helm and includes a son, Darrell Glenn Helm and a good
friend John LeMaster. Lyle grew up in church. His dad was an
evangelical pastor, his mother played piano, so that left Lyle as a
small child to use the pews as his bassinet. There he learned to love
God, sing and play the guitar.As a teenager Lyle had his own live 30
minute weekly radio show at WAIN in Columbia, KY. Helen heard him on
the radio before they met. She fell in love with his voice and said
"I've just GOT to meet this guy"! A few weeks later Lyle and a friend
of his happened to visit the church Helen attended. His friend
introduced them, and they have been making beautiful music ever since.
Helen is an accomplished singer who has appeared on The Nashville

Claude Watson at Gospel Highlands Recording Studio Claude has lived in Mouth of Wilson, Va. most of his life. He started singing as a little boy while walking to church with friends. On his way to church Claude learned to sing harmonies and has continued to sing all of his life. Claude sang with a gospel group for several years and later began singing solo using his own backup. His love for Gospel music led him to build Gospel Highlands Recording Studio where he records only Gospel music. Claude has grown to love and appreciate the people who sometimes travel great distances to record with him and spread God's Word in song. Claude has a new CD out featuring the song "Weapon Of Prayer"

Gospel Classics Extends a Warm Welcome to Songwriter/Artist Ron Thompson
JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING 2007, HEAR RON THOMPSON 'S LATEST SINGLE "ONLY GOD CAN SAY" ON THE GLORY TRAIN LABEL
Ron Thompson is a native of East Tennessee. Ron began taking private
piano lessons at ten years of age and by the time he graduated from
high school he was also playing rythym guitar, lead guitar, and harmonica.
He graduated in 1966 with a BSEE from Tennessee Technological University.
During his career he worked in the space program and then for Volunteer
Electric Cooperative, a major power distributor located in East Tennessee.
After teaching electronics courses at Roane State Community College, he
completed his career working at the Y-12 Oak Ridge facility. In the eighties
he was active in gospel music in local churches and began playing the bass
guitar. By the nineties he was using electronic keyboards and began making
digital recordings. "The Touch Of Daddy's Hands" is a song taken from Ron's
childhood memories. . "A Game Called Religion" is a song depicting a real
life event which happened in a church. "You Ain't Country, Boy" is a song
depicting real memories from Ron's youth. "God's Country Of Love" is another
song that describes real life people and events."It Takes A Lot Of Doing", is
a song describing the hard times experienced by Ron's widowed grandmother
while raising her children. "Shell Shocked Soldier" is a song that describes
the spiritual frustration which faces the Christian person who constantly
battles the forces of evil that are at work in the world. "Make Believe" is
a song that portrays the deep seated human emotions felt by children who face
separation because of the transitional nature of families. The remaining songs
portray fictional events but have a deep seated emotional theme.
